It is made with warm spices like coriander and "pepe" or "Pebbe". Pebbe is commonly called Ehuru, Jamaican nutmeg, African nutmeg or calabash nutmeg. It comes from a plant Monodora myristica, a tropical tree of the family Annonaceae or custard apple family of flowering plants. It is found in Caribbean, West and central African countries. It tastes slightly bitter.
